HSUC Offers Low Cost Spay/Neuter – Hotline #  704-989-0912

HSUC is currently offering a spay & neuter service, whereby citizens of Union County (NC) can bring their pets, leave them to be altered, and they are brought home the same day.   HSUC coordinates all the details.  The transport service departs Top Honors, 5420 Waxhaw-Marvin Road, Waxhaw, NC in the morning and travels to Concord, NC where a veterinarian examines all of the pets and performs surgeries at Cabarrus Spay & Neuter Clinic, a low-cost, high-volume facility, specializing in spaying and neutering of cats and dogs.  Any animal that has surgery must be up-to-date on their immunizations.  If not, immunizations can be provided at the time of their surgery.  Once all animals have been altered, and undergo a recovery period at the clinic, they are then returned to Top Honors for pick up.  Instructions for post-operative surgeries are also provided.

Transport dates are frequently added due to the tremendous response.  Please call and leave your name and phone number only. Remember to speak slowly and clearly to ensure your information is correctly received.  If you call and do not hear back from anyone within a few days, please try again.  Expect a representative to return your call within a week or so.  Drop Off and Pick up times will be scheduled when appointment is made.

Top Honors has been most generous to allow us the use of their facility as the coordination center.  However, they do no scheduling or handling of details.   All inquiries should be made to the Hotline Number 704-989-0912

ONLY CASH IS ACCEPTED.  PAYMENT IS DUE THE MORNING OF SPAY/NEUTER.  PET GUARDIANS ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN A WAVIER RELEASING HSUC OF ANY LIABILITY.

Union County euthanizes THOUSANDS of dogs and cats each YEAR, in a gas chamber, at the taxpayer’s expense.  HSUC is working diligently to reduce these numbers.  Unfortunately, results will not be realized over night, but if we all make a conscientious effort to do our part, we will see results in a few years.  Thank you for doing your part to save lives and reduce pet over population problems in Union County.  Please encourage your friends and neighbors to have their pets altered.
