Your completed application will help us match the best suitable pet for your family and lifestyle. You may already have one of our pets in mind for adoption. We do ask for your assistance with an adoption fee.
Our contract requires that you sign a spay/neuter agreement. The fee is included in the adoption. If you are adopting an older pet, chances are it has already been spayed or neutered.
Our animals come from local and neighboring shelters, rescues and owner surrenders. We provide medical attention needed, update vaccines and attend to other medical needs before they are ready for adoption.
Our Adoption Policy: Each applicant is carefully screened to determine whether they are a suitable match for one of our dogs or cats. Our goal is to select the BEST and MOST SUITABLE home for our dogs, based on each animal's individual needs. Applicants are required to provide a veterinary reference (when applicable) as well as personal references; a home visit is typically done on new applicants. In the event we receive multiple applications for one animal, the first priority is given to the qualified family that most closely meets the requirements and needs for that animal. On occasion we will have more than one equally qualified applicant, and in this case we will prioritize these applicants based on the submission date of the application. If you have questions, please contact us.
Below are links to the Adoption Application and the Adoption Contract which have been prepared for both Dog and Cat Adoptions. In some cases, the question or statement may not apply to you. If it does not apply, please insert "N/A". Please fill out the Adoption Application first and submit on-line. An HSUC Representative will then get back with you.
