The Monroe Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic History
HSUC planned and diligently worked towards the opening of this clinic for a couple of years and officially opened for business on August 15, 2011.
The huge pet over-population problem and the alarming number of companion animals being unnecessarily euthanized every single day were the main driving forces behind our desire to start up a low cost spay/neuter clinic. As of 2014 over 10,000 pets, and community cats have been spayed/neutered at the clinic. In 2015 a new program of the HSUC was to add Wellness Wednesday to our services. Wednesday low cost shots, testing and preventatives are given by appointment. The community has shown an overwhelming positive response to our newest program.
